Good to meet you!
Hey, it's good to meet you! I'm Matze (Matthias), 24 and I work as a storyteller for Africa Inland Mission (AIM). My passion is to tell God's story via photography and videography to reach people with the good news of Jesus and make His name known.
I grew up in Germany in a Christian family, but became a believer when I was 16. It was a rational and logical decision at that time, not the faith of my parents. Ever since I've experienced God in so many ways that my faith grew stronger and deeper. After High School I went to a short term bible school in Australia (Capernwray), where I got to experience different cultures and got to love English! I then studied mechanical engineering, but couldn't stop traveling. There's something about other cultures that I find so fascinating.
I now begin the journey of being a missionary in Africa for the next couple of years. Why did I make that decision? I've shared a blog post about it, which you will find HERE.

Now you know a little bit about myself. But what about you? I'd love to get to know you and have a chat.
See ya',
Matze

The journey begins. I started my new job as a missionary, going through seminaries and building up a support community. From July 2022 I will be working in Africa as a photographer & videographer.
I got into a coop study for my dream job: mechanical engineering. It was so much fun and I don't regret it at all. I learned a ton, got to know amazing people and still love this job. We'll see, maybe one day, I will go back to it.
I started my small business in photography & videography. Something I didn't really want to do, but somehow slipped into. A friend of mine asked me to film his wedding in the US and instantly I got more and more requests. I know that it was God who blessed it.
Bible School Australia. These five months have been life changing and probably been the best decision that I took in my life so far. I learned English, got to know other cultures and amazing friends and learned a lot about the Bible. I'm forever grateful for this opportunity.
I bought my first camera, a Sony a6000. This sets the beginning of a journey I never thought I would be on. It's crazy to look back on these first videos and images and see the progress I made.
I became a believer. On a grass pit in Romania, on a youth camp of our church, it all of a sudden just made sense. I thought about my life and a feeling of peace overcame me. Something I never had before. (it's pretty hard to describe) I would say, it felt like a warm hug of God. I knew that he loves me and this just totally overwhelmed me.
